REFUND POLICY

At Markham Basketball, we are committed to providing a positive and meaningful experience for every child and family in our program. Our goal is to maintain high-quality programming while keeping our policies clear, simple, and fair across all locations. We strongly advise all parents and guardians to review the following terms and conditions carefully to ensure a full understanding of their rights and obligations.

General Policy

Refunds will not be provided for missed sessions. However, families who notify us in advance via email (youthprogram@markhambasketball.com) may be eligible for a make-up session or credit, as outlined below.

Make-Up Sessions & Credit

Participants who are unable to attend a scheduled session must provide at least one day’s advance notice via email (youthprogram@markhambasketball.com) to be eligible for either of the following:

  1.  A make-up session at another location (subject to availability), or

  2.  A credit applied toward the following immediate season

​Sessions missed without at least 1 day’s notice will be considered a “no-show” and will not qualify for any credit or make-up opportunity.

Please Note:

  • Make-up sessions are not guaranteed and are based on available space.

  • Credit may only be applied to the next immediate season (e.g., Spring → Summer or Fall).

  • Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable, and must be used within the next immediate season.

Refund Exceptions

We do not offer refunds for general absences, scheduling conflicts, or withdrawals. Refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances, including:

Medical Reasons

Refund requests due to medical reasons must be supported by a doctor’s note and submitted via email (youthprogram@markhambasketball.com). Each case will be reviewed individually.

Exceptional Circumstances

Requests due to unforeseen or urgent family situations must be submitted via email (youthprogram@markhambasketball.com) and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approval is at the sole discretion of Markham Basketball Youth Academy.

How to Cancel Your Registration?

To cancel your registration, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us directly at youthprogram@markhambasketball.com

  2. Our team will respond to your cancellation request within 1 business day.

  3. The applicable refund policy shall be determined based on the timestamp of your cancellation submission through the email.

Please Note : For cancellations made before the program start date, a full refund will be issued minus a $50 CAD registration processing fee.

Modification Rights

Markham Basketball Youth Academy reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time without prior notification. Parents or guardians of participants are responsible for remaining informed about any amendments.

Missed Sessions

General Policy

Refunds and make-up sessions for missed classes are not provided, except as specifically stated herein.

No Refund

No refunds will be provided for requests submitted after the fourth session of the current term of the program.

Missed Sessions

Unfortunately, missed sessions are non-refundable. However, we do offer make-up sessions. Please contact us to arrange a make-up date in the next term. Note that skill levels and groups may differ from the original session.

Refund Exceptions

Medical Reasons: Refunds for medical reasons will be considered if accompanied by a doctor’s note.

Please contact us directly and submit the necessary medical documentation to request a refund for medical reasons.

How to Cancel Your Registration?

To cancel your registration, please follow the following steps:

  1. Complete the Program Withdraw Google Form with the required information.

  2. Submit the form. You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging your request.

  3. Our team will respond to your cancellation request within 24 hours.

  4. The applicable refund policy, as stated above, will be applied based on the timing of your cancellation.

  5. For cancellations made before the program start date, a full refund minus a $50 CAD registration processing fee will be issued.

Additional Information

Processing Time: Please allow up to 7 business days for the processing of refunds once your cancellation request has been confirmed.

Terms and Conditions

By enrolling in our program, you acknowledge and agree to abide by our refund and cancellation policies as outlined on this page.

  1. Modification Rights: Infinity Academy reserves the right to modify or update these policies at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the participant or user to review these policies regularly.

  2. Acceptance of Terms: By proceeding with enrollment, you confirm that you have thoroughly read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions set forth in our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Compliance & Conduct, and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement.

  3. Scope of Liability: Infinity Academy shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your enrollment, participation, or any use of our website and services. This includes, but is not limited to, any injuries, damages, or even death that may occur, irrespective of whether such damages arise from negligence, whether active or passive. Our liability is explicitly limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

  4. Participant Responsibility: It is the participant's responsibility to comply with all program requirements, including the submission of necessary forms and adherence to all guidelines provided by Infinity Academy. Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of fees and denial of participation in the program.

  5. Non-Confidential Feedback: Any feedback or suggestions you provide to Infinity Academy through our website or during the course of our programs shall be deemed non-confidential. Infinity Academy shall be free to use such information on an unrestricted basis.

By enrolling in our program, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
